Sam Lindsay Memorial Pool
Lapointe Engineering Ltd.'s Structural Department was approached by Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. to provide construction observations, on their behalf, for the reinforced concrete of the Sam Lindsay Memorial Pool in Kitimat, BC.
Quality assurance is important in projects large and small. Our scope for this project included observing the layout of the rebar to assure that the rebar installation was completed as per design and code requirements. Rebar observations included reviews of reinforced structural members down to simple temperature reinforcement in slabs.
This project began in July 2007 and continued until the final observation in October 2008. A total of 29 separate construction observations were performed, complete with progress reports, on behalf of Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd..
