Domestic Water Supply
The source for water in Good Hope Lake BC was a mixture of individual wells and trucked water. The Dease River First Nation Council recognized the lack of water security in the village and asked Lapointe Engineering Ltd. to design and build a reliable water system.
Lapointe Engineering Ltd. designed and constructed a system utilizing two wells with associated pump houses and designed the water main grid to connect residences to the new water supply. Lapointe Engineering acted as Project Manager and designer on this multi - phase project. Our work included:
• Preparing funding requests to Indian and Northern Affairs (Yukon).
• Coordinating the hydrological study and well tests.
• Civil, mechanical, and electrical design of wells, pump houses and water
mains.
• Tender preparation, contract administration and construction site reviews.
